Tom "Yankee" Salopek was the first born in America of David "Vide" and Mary Salopek, who migrated here from Croatia. In 1950, Tom's farm started in the north valley, giving rise to his nickname, Yankee. Tom and his wife Mary "Mamo", raised 6 kids, 4 boys and 2 girls. After many years of growth and expansion we were challenged to create a marketing tool for the efforts put into North Valley Pecans. When my mom retired we put our heads together to establish The Pecan Parlor. We are a mobile vending business, selling pecan related products and we look forward to attending many events around New Mexico and other states too. We are so grateful to have this opportunity and support from our family and friends. We hope to see you at one of our future events, please check back for updates and remember EAT PECANS!
